DIAGNOSIS
Eczema or atopic dermatitis is sometimes hard to distinguish due to other skin disorders that may be similar. Psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, and nummular dermatitis are the most common skin disorders that get confused with eczema when being diagnosed. Clinical evaluation and skin prick tests are the most common tests that help determine eczema (Mckoy, 2014).
PREVENTION
Eczema can sometimes be prevented with proper skin care. Drinking lots of water can lower some of the risk of getting eczema. Also instead of using soap which contains different perfumes and chemicals one can use soap substitutes. Moisturizing the skin everyday with different lubricants and petroleum can prevent the dryness of skin (Mckoy, 2014).
