  • Eczema doesn’t have exact cause rather just environmental factors. Heredity is also a factor that could trigger eczema. Adults with eczema who have children are more likely to pass down the condition (McIntosh, 2015).

  • Environmental factors that occur are allergens, irritants, temperature, stress, food, and hormones.  Pets, mold, and dust are signs of allergens. Laundry detergent, soaps, and shampoos are examples of irritants. Weather suddenly from hot tot cold could affect eczema. Nuts, eggs, and milk are types of foods that have an effect on eczema. Hormones that happen during pregnancy or menstrual cycles could also have an effect on eczema (McIntosh, 2015).

CAUSES

  • Symptoms of eczema can vary from person to person. The blistery rash can even look different depending on which part of the body. The most common symptom of eczema is dry or sensitive skin. Extreme itching also occurs during eczema the scratching may be so intense that the skin will start to bleed

(Skin Problems and Treatments Health Center, 2015).

  • Scratching the rash can cause more inflammation to that particular area of the body. Other symptoms of eczema are a reoccurring rash, scaly looking skin, rough or leathery patches of skin, crusting and discharge of fluids, swelling, and dark colored patches of skin(Skin Problems and Treatments Health Center, 2015).
